Wrong family still and wrong side of the international border.

This is getting quite ridiculous. Never in my dreams did I think I'd bring this game virtually to a halt with an Indo-European language originating in Western Europe.

Well, everyone was saying "Nahuatl", etc., and you said they were close. So I didn't know it came from Western Europe. It can't be Spanish, because that's on both sides of any "international border" near where these languages are spoken, like you said, and it's not their word for "fear".

Yes: The traditional Spanish dialect of New Mexico. (Cisca in Standard Spanish is a name for cogon grass [Imperata cylindrica]; the New Mexico Spanish meaning probably derives from ciscarse "soil oneself".)

According to the order of play, the Stray Cat should be offering up the next word. But since he seems to have lost interest in doing that, I say have at it.

Oops, I'm sorry for having missed my turn! With all the other things in my life and country I simply forgot to check this topic.

Wait, I'll post my word in no more than ten minutes...
