It depends on the situation. Both 'cause and cuz are informal, with cuz being very informal. Personally I always use because and save the shortenings for colloquial speech.

More commonly, though, you'll see "cuz" used in text messages and video games. Along with "u", "2", etc.

Kinda. It's an Americanism in any case; the form I see in Brit lit is 'cos. (Cf. also w(h)ut vs wot.)

Thanks.

Which exam are you doing? The PET?
Wow, its price raised? At my school the teacher taught us for the test for free, while the exam cost 80 euro in 2008.

And now I realized that it's useful only in Europe. In China (and in America) nobody gives a fuck about Cambridge tests. While they highly value IELTS and TOEFL.

Here it's the opposite, Cambridge is the one with more prestige.
I think it's the only one people heard about.

I'm doing a test at my university because it's cheap and enough for what I need.
I just need it for Erasmus and luckily it's one of the acknowledged ones.

I feel so bad for not doing the German Sprachdiplom.

Same question, should I put a question mark at the end.

"I guess I should go"

Is this a question or not?

It could be either a question or a statement depending on the intonation.

In what situations can I write second as 2nd or first as 1st and so on?

Are there some written texts that won't allow this?

It's a question of style. The Associated Press, whose style guide is popular with US media outlets, says that when ordinals indicate sequence (first place, the First Amendment) spell them out from first to ninth, then use figures from 10th upward. If ordinals are used to form names rather than indicate sequence (1st Sgt., 7th Fleet), use only figures.

Yes. This is how I've always heard it. In practice, however, this never happens. Feel free to do whatever's easier at the time (for me: numerals on the computer, words when writing cursive). Just make sure it's not a formal paper or something.

Re: Levike's Questions

Yeay, today I had my English exam at the University of Letters.

It went quite well, except the listening part, but at the writing one I filled the whole space.

At the speaking part I said the most random things I ever said in my life,
maybe I was just being too nervous, but it went ... sort of well.

- Are you good with animals?
- Once I had 20 fish, little ones, but slowly their numbers decreased
until I was left with one that fatally committed suicide.
- Oh dear, but how about dogs?
- My grandparents always had dogs, I really love them, I mean to pet and to play with them,
but when it comes to taking care of them, that option won't even cross my mind.
- Okay, why do you need this language certificate for?
- Well, I would like to go to Hungary or Poland with Erasmus and they require one.
- But why Poland?
- Because it'll be fun to attempt to speak in sign-language,
because I'll finally try new food that have names I can't even pronounce
because I'll have to pay with money I don't even know the value of
and because other reasons I didn't come up with yet.

Sounds like it went well! :)
You mentioned Poland and sign language, and that seems pretty random, but the sentences sound very good, witty even!
Well, that was a thing.

Thanks.

But since I already got a paper that I took part in a language test
I can already sign up for Erasmus.

I'm soooo hoping to get to Budapest or Warsaw.

I had to google what "witty" means.

Congratz, Levike! You're better at English than I am at any language I'm studying! :)

Concerning "cuz," however, (haha, back to seriousness) this should only be used for colloquial speech(whether in writing or speech). I know that you've been told this, but I just want to stress that, only so you don't go offending the Prime Minister or President(exaggerated example, hopefully you get the point) with this kind of talk. Likewise, never use anything that is informal in general at a formal occasion, but this should be common sense anyways ;)
