And now a Zen story :)

Nan-in, a Japanese master during the Meiji era, received a university professor who came to inquire about Zen. Nan-in served tea. He poured his visitor's cup full, and then kept on pouring. The professor watched the overflow until he no longer could restrain himself. "It is overfull. No more will go in!". "Like this cup, "Nan-in said, "you are full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?"

Nan-in servió el té.

* I don't know why but to me it sounds weird if I don't add del té, correct me if I'm wrong.
** I'm not very sure about this one, it sounds a bit clunky to me.

A passage from Brave New World:

The world's stable now. People are happy; they get what they want, and they never want what they can't get. They're well off; they're safe; they're never ill; they're not afraid of death; they're blissfully ignorant of passion and old age; they're plagued with no mothers or fathers; they've got no wives, or children, or lovers to feel strongly about; they're so conditioned that they practically can't help behaving as they ought to behave. And if anything should go wrong, there's soma.
(Mustapha Mond, the World Controller of Western Europe - Brave New World, Aldous Huxley)

Probably you're right . Though the book also says that people don't know history.
