Song lyrics translation

Postby pplain » 2012-11-30, 18:26

Hello.
Could you please help me translate the lyrics of this song :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb0nL-HwUQk&feature=plcp
I'm learning Estonian language but still can't understand some words, maybe it's kind of a slang?
Thank you in advance :D

Yep, it's not very formal language...

I copied the lyrics from here:

Auto
Car

Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da ...
prõnn is the sound of the engine

Käik sisse
put in the gear (shift from neutral to any non-neutral gear)

Ma olen velts, mul nina all on vunts
I am (maybe it's a name or smth), I've got moustache under my nose
Mul kollane mobiil, ma pisut pedofiil
I've got a yellow cell phone, I am a bit of a pedophile
Sõber mul on priit see priit on autofriik
I've got a friend named Priit, this Priit is a car freak (petrol head)
Ta elab ainult autos teeb piip piip änn tuut tuut
He only lives in a car and makes piip (horn), änn (engine) and tuut (horn) sounds
Meil autod vinged, seljas adi dress, tibid teevad jess, tibid teevad jess
We've got awesome cars, we're wearing Adidas brand tracksuits/sweatsuits (I don't know what are these clothes really called in English) and chicks say yeah/alright...

Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da prõnn-tada-prõnn-da

Kärss sai ferrari, sepal bmw
kärss got a Ferrari, sepp has a BMW (literally kärss is snout and sepp is blacksmith, but here they are like dude or bro)
Nad on minu sõbrad, prõnn tuut hoidke eest
They are my friends, prõnn tuut stay out of the way
Ükskord kalli auto sõitsin vastu puud
Once I crashed an expensive car into the tree
Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da puruks läksid luud
Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da bones broke
Kuid mul on pohhui, sest olen vinge päss
But I don't care (derived from Russian по хуй), because I am an awesome päss (I don't know how to translate it here, it can be aries, stump/lump and also a stubborn person)
Olen vinge päss ...

Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da olen vinge päss ...

Kui ma sõidan autos, mul nokamüts on peas
When I'm driving, I've got a cap (hat) on
Ma ajan bemmi kurjaks ja suits käib üle pea
I make the BMW angry (rev it up) and smoke is/will be everywhere
Ma pole kuigi kaine, ei karda politseid
I am not very sober, I'm not afraid of the police
Olen vinge päss Olen vinge päss

Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da

Naaber mul on jobu, sest tal on vana saab
My neighbour is a jerk, because he has an old Saab
Käib kusel minu rõdul ning joob ja laaberdab
He usually goes for piss on my balcony and he drinks and he gads about
Võiks sõita talle molli ja ei tunneks üldse süüd
I could kick his ass (hit his face) and I wouldn't even feel quilty
kostab valuhüüd – ai! ...
A sound of pain sounds - ouch!

Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da olen vinge päss

käib ringi kets
well, it means that the tire is rotating faster than the car moves (kets is actually a certain type of footwear)

Öösel kui kõik magavad mina und ei saa
At night when everyone is sleeping, I can't sleep
Ma ajan papud suitsema ja linnas kihutan
I make the bootees (tires) smoke and race around the town
Mul võimud autos vägevad kõik põhja lajatan
I've got awesome amplifiers in the car, I turn all the volume up
Kõlab räige tümps tüm
Sounds an awesome tümps (sound of drums and bass)
Volga mersu, Volga mersu, Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da ta , mazdad fordid , opel lada
mersu = Mercedes

Pemmile saab vihmaveetorust väga hea sumbutaja plastiliiniga kinni ja normaalne
One can make a good muffler for BMW from drainpipe, just attach it with plasticin and it's OK

Kummi vilistan ja näpin kummi naist
I whistle the rubber (burn the rubber) and touch (twiddle) a rubber woman (inflatable woman)
Ma kiman 110-ga ei peta mind mu vaist
I rush 110 km per hour, my instinct does not lie
Kes teepeal ees mul koperdab sel kohe näitan näppu
Who stumbles in my way, I show them my (middle) finger right away

Prõnn-tada-prõnn-da
ma olen nii normaalne
I am so normal
prõnn-tada-prõnn-da olen vinge päss

Oh, :thanks: a lot ! Now I understand.
You know, it's difficult for me to learn Estonian by myself, here in Poland finding Estonian lessons is not easy, it's not very popular language.. ( little OT  )

You are welcome :D
Yeah, I guess it can be quite difficult to learn Estonian anywhere outside of Estonia.
But as you mentioned in your first post that you couldn't understand only some words of the lyrics, then I believe you are already doing quite well. Good luck with your further studies!
