This is what I've come up with (with the help of the evrokorpus database of translations):

Notar potrdi pristnost podpisa glavnega zavezanca in njegovo ali njeno zmožnost za prevzemanje obveznosti v imenu družbe.

I'm very impressed with google's translation once again.

Glavni zavezanec means something like the main person liable - if that is what you intended to say then it's ok.

"Principal" is actually a legal term referring to a person who wishes to delegate his or her authority to someone else (an "agent") and to state this formally in a contract.

Does "to commit the company" then mean to give authority on behalf of the company to someone else, because the way it is written now, it suggests that the principal takes on responsibilities in the name of the company.
