Need translation

Postby qrees » 2006-04-16, 19:42

Can anyone help me translating this (or at least a part of this). I have no idea wha language is it. Please help, this is very important.

Code: Select all

Thông báo:
1. Bắt đầu từ giờ các bạn có thể vào X5 Net với ba địa chỉ
{cut out some links}

I got it from one of sites hosted on some server. We think that this site is breaking Terms Of Servise.

Help with translation. Very important

Postby mule » 2007-11-05, 15:57

I need to register in a page written in Vietnamese, but I saw a field completely unknown for me, and I can't understand what it says.

I will be grateful if someone can help me with the translation of this paragraph:

Hãy nhập từ có 2 ký tự.
- Là từ để chỉ số 3.
- Một số người dùng từ này để gọi bố.

Just type: ba

You're not the first one to ask this.

Amazing! Thank you so much Draven!
But anyway, I want to know what it says there, and why I had to write "ba" to register.

Thanks

PD: Who also asked about this?

I thought you never asked.

Well, here's the translation:

"Type a word of 2 letters:
- Which is the name of the number 3
- Some folks call their fathers by this word."

The answer is 'ba', the name of the number three in Vietnamese. 'Ba' is also the colloquial word for father in Southern dialects, much like 'dad' in English.

Any chance you're trying to register at CadViet? The previous person had to do that too.

Translation of one song

Postby cegiela » 2007-11-23, 18:45

Hello everybody!

I'd like to ask you for translating the lyrics of one song into Vietnamese.
The text to be translated is:

I am an atomic waste

No one loves me
No one likes me
No one respects me
No one wants me

I am ugly
I am disgusting
I am hideous
I am dirty

I'd be cordially thankful also for an IPA transcription, if it is not a problem for you.
You might visit our website with yet over 50 language versions of this song:

Cheers,
Lukasz Cegiela

Yes, but that is when you're addressing a male your age or as old as, say, your older borther.

Yeah, the man he refers to is either an unknown person and you want to be polite, thats why you use "anh", or he is just a little bit older than you. In both cases you use "anh".

Bye!

Why you use such a twisted sentence, Draven?

It was friggin' hot and I was feeling dizzy, didn't pay attention to succinctness

How come that merriness, Toàn? :? (Or Tuyền? You prefer Tuyền right?). And please spare me from that hybrid "Tieng Viet forum" thingy, or you'll make me rofl to death
