How to respond to, "Can I take this chair" in Thai?
For this question, let's say your in a coffee shop in Bangkok, someone approaches you and asks if they can take a chair from a table you are sitting at (like if you are at a small table with 2 chairs by yourself and they want to take the spare chair). I want to say something like, "Yes. You may take the chair" or similar. No Google translate and feel free to change the wording to something that is usually said in this situation. In other words, don't translate word for word.

ได้ครับ dai khrap (male speaker)
ได้ค่ะ dai kha (female speaker)

It just means "[You] may/can." (followed by the polite particle khrap/kha)

Khap khun khrap Ling. Is it okay if I add "chern khrap" to encourage them to go ahead and take it?
