Vidim s mojom malym ockom...

Postby kwalijkje » 2011-01-24, 9:26

Vcera v noci sme hrali tuto hru, ja a moj priatel'.

Last night I was playnig this with my friend, and found it great for building vocabulary. I thought that maybe people here would like to play. (Also, if anyone want's to correct my Slovak up there... ;-) )

Obviously it would have to be limited to normal bedroom/office objects, because we can't all see the same things, but we're likely to have similar things around us when on the computer.

Zacinam:

Apart from that, :waytogo:
The game is a great idea! I do not know what it is called in Slovak, I would, however, translate its name as "Moje (malé) očko vidí", it sounds more natural. But enough criticism, it is my turn.

Je to počítač?

qwerty, D'akujem za opravy. :-) 'Moje male ocko vidi' znie lepsie.

A ty si stopercentne spravny. Bolo pocitac. :D

Si na rade. :-)

qwerty, cheers, for the corrections. 'Moje male ocko vidi' does sound better.

And you're completely right. It was pocitac.

Your turn. :-)

You are right. = Máš pravdu. ;)

("Moje očko vidí" sounds a bit funny to me now. It is not that bad as a name for a game, but I will be glad if someone comes with a better translation.)

Nemozes povedat' "ty si stopercentne spravny"? (Nevidil som ako povedat' 'you're right', hehe, ale som myslel ze "si stopercentne spravy" znie oke. :S)
You can't say "..."? (I didn't know how to say it, hehe, but I thought "..." sounded alright. :S)

Uvidis malym ockom pohar! :-)

No, you can not put it this way, but for example "..." or "..." is okay.
"..." is absolutely correct (gramatically), but "správny človek" means something a bit different.

Nie, pohár to nie je ;) Dá sa tým písať.

"Spravny clovek" znamena nieco trosku ine. To fakt? Co to znamena?
... Really? What's it mean?

Jj. Tak pouzil som anglicke gramaticke konstrukcie.
I asked my Polish housemate whether you have correctness or are correct in Polish (thinking it might be similarly contructed in Slovak). But he's forgotten his own language. Hehe. So I used the English contruction.

Vidis malym ockom postel'. :-)
Bed? :-)

Po polsky sa povie "masz rację", čo znamená "you have right (rightness?)". U nás ale nikto nepovie napr. "masz prawdę", to nie je spravné - spravné bolo by "Prawda, masz rację" (True, you are right).

In Polish it's quite similar to Slovak, because we also use "to have" in this construction. In Polish one would say "masz rację", what means "you have right (rightness?)". In here, however, nobody would say eg. "masz prawdę" (you have trueness/correctness), it isn't correct - correct would be "Prawda, masz rację" (True, you are right).

When you say that someone is "správny", you mean that they are exactly what they should be in certain situation. It is something like "true", "real". In addition, the expression "správny chlapík" means "good fellow".
It might not be the best explanation ever, but I can not think of anything better right now :(

Nie, nie je to ani posteľ :) Začína to na P a dá sa tým písať, čo je to?
No, it is not a bed either. It begins with P and you can write with that

So many good ideas, but no, nothing of that... What I had in mind was a pen. So now it is someone else's turn.
By the way, I just remembered that the two elks in Brother Bear played this game, and they said "špehujem (niečo)" (that is literally "I spy (something)"). So finally we have a better name for the game :)

Nebudem sa zatiaľ zapájať do hry, len taká malá poznámka: Po slovensky by sa tá hra podľa mňa mohla volať "Hádaj, na čo myslím", teda aspoň tú hru mi toto najviac pripomína.

I´m not joining the game yet, just a little note: I think that the game could be called "Guess, what I´m thinking about", because this remind me of a game with that name that we used to play as kids.

Jéj, toľko hlúpostí som vymyslela a toto ma nenapadlo  Ďakujeme!
